Chapter 11 –

Jessie was asleep on her bed, cuddling her doll. She was awoken by the sound of curtains undrawing and a bright light hitting her eyes.
“Huh, what?” She questioned sitting up sleepily and looking at the windows. Her head was heavy and she had a horrible stomach ache.
Jessie put her hand to her face to shield her eyes from the light and noticed Abigail standing by the window.
‘Good morning sleepy head.” She said half heartedly to Jessie.
Jessie rubbed her eyes before answering. “What time is it?”
“Why it’s half past eight in the morning my dear. We gotta be up bright and early.”

Jessie groaned and flung herself back down onto her pillows. Abigail sighed at Jessie, she felt sorry for the young read head.
“I’m sorry about Chunk...”Abigail began.
Jessie sighed and rolled onto her side so she didn’t have to face Abigail.
“I should have told you that’s what they had in store for you but I thought it best you didn’t know...otherwise you would have gotten into more trouble at home by rebelling against not coming at all.” Abigail said frowning.
“Wait you knew?” Jessie questioned turning to look at her.
“Yes...everyone knew...I’m sorry Jessie, I really am.”
“It’s not your fault, you only done what you thought best for me. Besides, you’re not the once forcing me to get married.” Jessie said in annoyance.
“Buzz told me...about your Father, I hope your okay.” Abigail said still frowning.
Jessie’s heart sank as she remembered what her Father had almost done last night; if it wasn’t for Buzz he would have hurt her terribly. But she also remembered what Buzz had done, both the thoughts sickened her.

Abigail went to Jessie’s suitcase and pulled out the remaining dress. It was much like the one she had came in, it was pink but this time it had a black slit going up the centre and on the breast area with a small floral design.
Jessie sat up and hugged her knees while Abigail pulled out some towels and bloomers resting them on Jessie’s bed.
“Why don’t you go get changed and freshen yourself up? I’ll wait out here and I’ll take you down to breakfast.” Abigail smiled at Jessie.
Jessie grabbed the fabrics on her bed and headed to the bathroom, closing the door behind her.
Abigail let out a heavy sigh, she really felt sorry for Jessie. Thoughts crossed her mind as she started on making the bed but she stopped when she saw the little doll resting on the pillow. She reached out and picked it up and let out a small smile. “Oh Jessie,” she whispered placing it on the bedside table “you’re still only a little girl at heart. Your Father has made you age quicker than you should have.”

The bathroom door clunked open and Jessie came out in her dress. Her hair had been tied back into a bun with a pink ribbon. Although her face was rather pale, she looked a lot better than she had when Abigail first came in.
“Jessie, you look beautiful.” Abigail said sincerely.
“You don’t have to lie to make me feel better.” Jessie mumbled as she went over to the bed and reached under to pull out the brown bag.
“I’m not lying Jessie.” Abigail said as Jessie threw her doll in the bag and checked the diary was still in there.
“What’s going to happen to my dirty clothes?”
“I’ll place them outside your room and someone will come and take them and place them in a separate case for you to take home. The one from yesterday is with your parents clothes.”
“Okay.” Jessie replied simply placing her bag in the case containing her remaining clothes.
Abigail closed the bag for Jessie and then went to get her old clothes.
“Hey Jessie,” Abigail said as she picked up the clothes, “Want to hear some good news?”
“Um...is Father dead?” Jessie questioned in confusemeant.
“No...but I’m going to be a Mother.” She said with a big smile.
Jessie blinked a few times, “Wait...you mean you’re pregnant?”
Abigail nodded and bit her lip.
“But I thought that-”
“Yes, I know we weren’t meant to before our marriage but we did.” She held her stomach.
Jessie hugged her gently, “Congratulations. How did you find out?”
“I’m over four weeks late, but please don’t tell anyone. Only Sam and his parents know, nobody else. We’ll announce it after our marriage which is only two weeks away. We will just say I got pregnant then.
“I won’t, I promise. Just hope you don’t put on weight so it gives it away.”
“Yeah...that’s the only issue. But hey ho.”

Jessie opened the door and Abigail placed the clothes on the floor as they headed to the breakfast hall. As they turned a corner, Lotso was also coming. Each of their faces fell.
“Good morning Miss Jane.” He said sarcastically.
“Good morning Mr Huggin.” Jessie said going to walk past him but he put his stick in her way.
“You ain’t going anywhere young lady.” He said sternly pushing her back.
“Lotso please don’t do this.” Abigail said weakly.
“I’ll do what I want.” Jessie kicked his stick.
“How dare you!” He pointed his stick close to her face, “You embarrassed my son! You made him look like a fool!”
“Well it didn’t take much effort from me to make him look like one!” Jessie spat.
Lotso’s lips quivered, “Now you listen here young lady!” He shoved her against the wall.
“LOTSO! That is enough!” Abigail shouted at him.
“You can be quiet n all!” He yelled pointing the stick at Abigail, who quickly backed up and held her stomach. His gaze returned to Jessie whose face was full of anger. She wasn’t afraid of him. “Listen hear sweetheart, I really don’t care if you want to marry my son. Wanna know why? Because either way you’re going to have to and if you ever embarrass him again you will be sorry.”

“Leave. Her. alone.”
Lotso turned to see who was speaking, it was Buzz. He was standing beside Abigail with his eyes narrowed and his fists clenched. “No man should ever treat a lady with such disrespect.” Buzz said pushing Lotso away from her. “Now then, on my orders, you will go down the breakfast and not breathe another word to Jessie or Abigail, am I quite clear?”
Lotso cursed under his breath and glared at Jessie before he hobbled off.
Abigail looked at Buzz and he nodded at her. She slowly walked off in the direction Lotso had gone.
Buzz and Jessie were alone. He turned to look at her before making his own way down the corridor.
“Thank you.” Jessie said looking at the ground.
Buzz stopped but didn’t turn to look at her.
“Thank you...for stopping my Father last night...and for sending Lotso away.”

Su bienvenida señorita.” He said in a strong Spanish accent.
Jessie let out a sigh, she had no idea what he was saying.
“I said you’re welcome Miss.”
“Oh...okay.”

“Te veré en el desayuno mi amor.” He said walking onwards.
‘I wonder what that meant?’ She thought to herself, slowly following after Buzz.

As Jessie entered the breakfast room, everyone’s eyes fixed on her. She ignored them and looked at the table. The table had an array of food and drink much like the ballroom last night.
Jessie slowly made her way over to Bo and sat down and was completely blanked by her sister.
Everyone began to eat in silence, everyone’s eyes flitting from one person to another. Jessie never looked up, but she could feel everyone’s eyes on her.
Once everyone had finished eating, Bart forced his chair backwards and stood up making Jessie flinch. “Well I hope you all enjoyed breakfast provided by the lovely workers that Buzz has hired here. I also hope that everyone enjoyed themselves up until a certain...incident last night.” Everyone turned and gazed at Jessie again, she could feel her face flushing over. “Now it is time for us to make our way back. The horses and suitcases have been loaded so we are set to go.”

Everyone started standing up. Bart pulled out his pocket watch at looked at the time, “It’s eleven at the moment. We should make good time.”
Abigail held the door open for everyone to leave. As Jessie passed her, she gave her a little wink.
Sam was holding the entrance door open for everyone to get outside. As they all went outside, they were greeted by four horse drawn carriages, all with one horse at the front. All the horses were the ones Jessie had seen in the stable last night. The luggage was all on the roofs.
Jessie looked and saw Angel at the front of her carriage with Ella on top of her. She was laughing and stroking Angels brown mane. “You’re a pretty horse.”
“Ella.” Buzz said shaking his head as he walked over to her. “You don’t want to ruin your dress.”
Ella let out a sigh, “Yes daddy.”
Jessie let out a smile at Ella’s unwillingness to part with Angel.

She was broken from the smile as Lotso glared at her while he went over to his carriage, closely followed by Chunk. Both of the men stepped in their carriage and sat down before slamming the door shut. Abigail and Sam made their way to the penultimate carriage, they  were obviously coming along too.
Buzz placed Ella on the ground outside their carriage which was behind the Jane’s and she stepped in smiling. Buzz stood outside and watched the Jane’s head towards theirs.
Bo and Betty stepped inside their carriage. Jessie was about to but Bart grabbed her arm, “You dare pull a stunt like last time young lady you will be in more than just trouble. If one foot goes out of line...” He threatened.
“Yes I get it.” Jessie snapped snatching her arm away from him and stepping inside the carriage.
Bart followed her in and slammed the door shut.
“We are ready to leave.” He shouted out to Hamm.
“Yes Sir.” The small plump man replied.
Buzz quickly stepped in his carriage and gently smiled at Ella who was playing with one of her dolls.
The neighing of all the horses could be heard and the carriages slowly started to rock from side to side.

Silence lasted the whole journey, except in the Lightyear carriage where Ella and Buzz spoke.
The sun could be felt rising in the sky, the heat causing the women to feel uncomfortable.
Eventually, the carriages stopped rocking and a lot of people could be heard from outside.
Hamm jumped off the front and knocked on the door, “We are back in the West.”
A small smile crept on Jessie’s face as she looked at the floor. ‘Time for another adventure.’

A/N - Ohhh they are back in the West! I wonder if Woody will make another apperance? Or maybe he won't and just like Jessie you will be dissapointed.
Keeping you in suspence.
