A/N - Here you go everyone, another rubbish chapter to my rubbish story. Hope you enjoy.

How are you all? I'm not good. It's results day tomorrow and I find out how I did in my exams and I am not looking forward to getting my results. I think I did awful and right now I could cry. The thought of what grades I have got is horrid. I just want to make everyone proud of me and to do well which I don't think I have :/

I also still feel like this story is rubbish and is being judged a lot but hey ho.

Chapter 39 –

Jessie sat for what seemed like forever waiting for Woody to fall asleep. As soon as she heard the light snores coming from his bed she sat up and stretched. Reaching forward to her feet, she pulled her brown bag out from under the duvet and undone it. She pulled out her diary and pen. The candle light was still providing light for her despite it being quite faint. Jessie opened a fresh page and began to write.

‘17th June 1885

Wow, I can’t actually believe it, I am in the West! Me, Jessie Jane, actually in the West!  It seems too good to be true. I ran away. I ran away from home, my family. It wasn’t my sister, Mother, Abigail or Buzz who made me feel the need to run away. It was Chunk, Lotso and my Father. I could not stand the way they treated me or the way my father treated Angel. I also didn’t like the way he was so awfully rude to Woody. I got Angel last night and we ran away to here, the West. I again haven’t seen as much of it as I would like to but what I have seen so far is beautiful. Woody has promised me a tour of the West tomorrow, I can’t wait. He was the cowboy I saw the other day and the one who protected me against my Father. He is also the cowboy who found me in his field this morning and took me to his house.’

Jessie smiled as she was writing.

‘He has been so awfully kind to me, as has his uncle Pete. Woody and Bullseye found me and Angel asleep in his field, well I assume it was his field as he was in it the other day. He then took me to his home where I met Pete. It’s a lovely little place, not big but not small, just right for two guys, a horse and a puppy. Buster the puppy is so cute; he is so full of energy and life. They are letting me stay with them. Woody very awkwardly asked me if I wanted to stay with them. It was so shocking to be asked but I said yes. I cannot explain how happy I am to be here. Bullseye is a lovely horse. So gentle and kind and very good to my Angel. She seems to be in touch with her inner foal, a side of her which I have not seen for years. ’

Jessie turned the page over.

‘Woody is too kind. He protects my from my father, brings me to his house, gives me food and allows me to clean myself up and then lets me to stay with him. He even offered me his bed to sleep in while he slept on the couch. I objected and won the battle. I did however clean up the house for him and Pete, it was an awful mess.’

Jessie paused before she continued writing. She stared at the paper and thought before she wrote.

‘Previously I described Woody in a very positive outlet and I still uphold my view on that. For someone I hardly know, I feel like I have known him my entire life. He is so easy to talk to but yet he seems very shy. He seems to avoid body contact with me and gets embarrassed quite easily. When I hugged him he seemed very reluctant to respond to me. He is such a handsome young man, only twenty, a year younger than Bo. His body structure isn’t weak but isn’t strong, by far better than Buzz and Chunk put together. His face is crafted so perfectly and his hair is lovely. But yet, within his eyes, they seem to tell a story of sadness, like a forgotten past. They are lovely yes, but they seem to be lost and afraid, but courageous and brave at the same time. He never smiles. Maybe his job has caused him to be like that or maybe it’s because he is just simply shy. Hopefully I will see a smile form on his face one day.’

Jessie read back over the paragraph about Woody before finishing off.

‘Well that’s it for today. I am so very tired and need to get some sleep if I want to be up bright and early for my tour tomorrow. My stomach still aches but the pain is going, most likely due to excitement. I will write some more tomorrow.

Jessie’

Jessie read back over her writing and smiled to herself. She placed the pen back in her bag and then closed her diary and placed that in the bag too and double checked her trinket box was in there. She pulled out the cowgirl doll and held in her hands. Smiling, Jessie stroked the yarn hair on the dolls head.‘Guess I better get some sleep.’ She said to herself.

Jessie placed the bag under the duvet and then went over to the candle and blew it out so the room was in darkness. She used her sense's to find the sofa again and laid down while pulling the duvet over herself. She nuzzled her head into the pillows and hugged her cowgirl doll tightly. Her eye's slowly shut and she drifted off into a deep sleep

Honey, this is not rubbish, by any means.  In fact, this was a much needed chapter in my opinion.  It's nice to really see where Jessie's mind is at.

I can't wait to read more :)
