A/N - Hello everyone, chapter 14 is here!!

It's a short chapter as I have broken this one down. The second half to this will be chapter 15.
***UPDATE - 03/09/14***

Jessie was fuming at her Father but she was no longer afraid of him either. After years of built up aggression and fear she finally let it all go. Tears of anger flowed down her face as she looked at the luggage on the floor. She went over to it and picked it up and anger once again overwhelmed her. “ARGH!” She shouted throwing it across the room causing it to crash into the wall. The buckles came undone and sent the contents flying everywhere. Her small brown bag went under the dressing table and the doll fell out and hit the rear table leg.
Running over, she crouched down and picked the doll up then headed towards the window. It was dark outside, and the moon was high. It lit of the canyons separating her town from the West. Thoughts of the Sheriff and her Grandma circled through her head. A distant train went across the plains, puffin smoke from its chimney. Looking down at the doll she let out a heavy sigh. “I will follow my heart.”

Jessie went over to her bag on the floor and picked it up. The pen and diary were still inside and she placed the little doll with them again.
On the dressing table, there was a small golden circular trinket box which she shoved in the bag. Resting the bag on her shoulder, she went over to her wardrobe and swung the doors open.
She picked out some of her favourite dresses and quickly folded them up and placed them on the floor. Next, she went to some draws and pulled out some bloomers and towels and messily folded them up. Reaching underneath the draws, she pulled out a sack in placed all her clothing inside and tied it up with a scruffy piece of rope.
Kicking off her shoes, she pulled a scruffy brown pair from under the bed, put them on and tied up the laces.

Double checking everything was in her back; she picked up the sack and hoisted it over her shoulder. Silently, she turned the door handle and opened it quietly. With one last glance of her room, she stepped outside and gently shut the door.
Candle light faintly lit the corridors and she hastily made her way through the corridors which lead her to the stairs. Quickly running down, she unlocked the door and opened it. ‘They will notice it’s unlocked...oh well
.’ She thought as she silently shut the door.
It wasn’t cold outside; it was humid with a small breeze.  She was able to run now, so she ran towards the stables. She ran across the bridge over the pond and reached the stables. Clumsily, she unlocked the door and stepped inside.

Angel quickly turned her head as the door opened, she thought it was Bart coming to get her, but was soon relieved as she saw Jessie. Neighing in delight, she nuzzled Jessie’s arm but soon stopped as she noticed Jessie’s expression. It was hard but also deeply saddened. She noticed the sack and nudged it.
“We are getting out of here girl. We are leaving.” She said placing the sack on the floor.
Angel watched as Jessie grabbed a blanket and placed it on her back. “We won’t have to deal with him anymore girl. We can go.” She grabbed a black saddle from the window ledge and placed it on the blanket and bent down to tie it up.
Angel’s big brown eyes stared in sympathy at Jessie which made some tears escape her. Jessie flung her arms around Angel’s neck and kissed her mane.
“Oh Angel, he is such a bastard.” She mumbled. “But don’t worry; we are gunna get away from here forever. We are going to go where he won’t find us. We should have done this years ago but I’ve always been too scared to stand up for myself. But now we can go.”
She grabbed some reigns and put them around Angel’s face. Angel breathed through her nose which made Jessie’s hair blow a little.
“Are you ready girl?” Jessie questioned placing her leg over Angel.
Angel let out a neigh and nodded her head.

Taking the reins, Jessie led them both outside. She turned Angel so the doors could be shut and locked. Looking up to the sky, Jessie gripped the pendant around her neck. “I will follow my heart Grandma. I’ll go to where we belong. I will follow in your footsteps and make you proud of me.”
The four stars that she had seen at Buzz’s house appeared to twinkle at her, as if encouraging her to go on. The biggest star on the right seemed to stand out the most to her though. With a small smile, she pulled on Angel’s reigns, “YAH” She shouted.
Angel neighed and began to run, passing over the bridge and out the opened gates of their house. “Go to the West Angel, go to the West.” Jessie whispered as they ran down the empty street.
